Maltesers® Easter Competition 2023 – FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) govern your entry into and participation in the promotion. Please read these terms carefully before entering as by entering you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications related to the promotion, including advertising or promotional materials, these Terms and Conditions will take precedence. Please retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your information.
The Promoter takes data protection seriously. By entering the promotion, you confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy at https://www.mars.com/privacy(open in new tab) and agree to any personal data you submit as part of the promotion being held and processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy, the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal data submitted to IMMEDIATE MEDIA (LONDON) COMPANY LIMITED (the Promoter’s agent) by the prize winner will be used solely for fulfilment of the prize and will be deleted once the winner has received their prize.

ELIGIBILITY
- 1. This promotion is open to UK residents, except for employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, associated agents or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
- 2. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over at the date of entry.

- 5. Bulk entries, entrants using multiple addresses, email addresses, numbers or entering via agents, third parties, organised groups, syndicates or aliases or entries automatically generated by computer will not be accepted. Entries received by any means other than as specified in these Terms and Conditions (see condition 7 below) will be rejected. Any person persistently trying to circumvent the entry process will be disqualified immediately. No incomplete, corrupted entries or multiple entries from the same person will be accepted. Entries must be made directly by the person entering the promotion. Only genuine valid entries will be considered.
PROMOTIONAL PERIOD
- 6. The promotion will run from 00:00:01 on 20th March 2023 to midnight on 14th April 2023 (the “Promotional Period”). Entries must be received within this time in order to be valid.
HOW TO ENTER FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN
- 7. Visit http://www.Maltesers.co.uk/easter-competition/ and complete the online entry registration form by entering your full name and email address.
- 8. Entrants will be required to provide their full name, D.O.B and a valid email address (which is personal and accessible throughout the promotion), to submit their entry.
- 9. Only valid entry information will be accepted and the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify and reject any inappropriate entries. All entries are subject to verification. Entry information may not be sold or exchanged. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
- 10. In the event of suspicious activity, the Promoter reserves the right to request and gather information or obtain further evidence to confirm the legitimacy of the entry / win.
THE PRIZE
- 11. The prize to be won consists of the following:

PRIZE INFORMATION
- 12. There is 1 prize in total, as detailed above, that is available to be won throughout the entire promotion. The cook-along baking session will take place in London between 9th-19th May 2023, the exact location and date to be confirmed with the winner, subject to Ravneet Gill’s availability. The winner’s reasonable travel costs (including standard train tickets to and from London) will be included in the prize. The colour of the KitchenAid model may differ to that shown in the promotional materials, depending on product availability at the time of fulfilling the prize.
- 13. Elements making up the prize are strictly non-transferable and must not be sold, auctioned nor advertised for sale whether on the internet, in newspapers or elsewhere. If the winner is found to be in breach of this term, they will be disqualified and will have their prize withdrawn. No cash alternatives or other alternative prize(s) will be available in whole or in part, except in the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, whereby the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or an element of it) with prize(s) of equal or greater value. The prize will only be awarded directly to the winner.
- 14. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse and/or an error (human or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this promotion or the awarding of the prize(s), the Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend the promotion or amend these Terms and Conditions where it becomes necessary to do so, but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
- 15. 1 winner will be picked at random using an independently supervised process within 3 days of the end of the Promotional Period.
- 16. Prize Redemption: The winner will be contacted by the Promoter within 7 days of the end of the Promotional Period. The winner will be required to respond within a further 7 days confirming (1) their acceptance of the prize, (2) their availability for the cook-along session and address to which the prizes should be sent and (3) consent to such details being shared with the Promoter’s agent for fulfilment of the prize.
- 17. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner to receive the relevant information to allow fulfilment of the prize. Regular reminders (up to 3) will be sent out to the winner. Inaccurate information may result in the prize being forfeited. If the winner has not responded to notifications after 14 working days or if the selected winner is ineligible, otherwise in breach of these Terms and Conditions or unable to or declines to take up the prize for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and to reallocate the prize by selecting a new winner from all remaining entries in accordance with the process described in these Terms and Conditions. The winner should retain their notification email message until their win has been verified.
- 18. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility in the event the winner does not receive notification as winner or their prize for whatever reason, including in the event that the winner provides an incorrect email or postal address or due to postal delays or loss by the postal service.
- 19. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its associated agents and companies will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate entrants for any losses that may be incurred as a result of entering into the promotion and the Promoter does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of the winner’s acceptance of the prize, except where such damage or loss is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or its agents. The winner’s statutory rights are not affected.
- 20. No correspondence: The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into, except with the prize winner.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- 21. The winner’s details (surname and their county of residence) is available on request. Please post your request and a SAE to: Maltesers Easter Promotion 2023, Mars Wrigley Confectionery UK Limited, 3D Dundee Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 4LG within 3 months of the end of the Promotional Period. Should the winner object to their information being made available, they should contact the Promoter’s agency by emailing celeste.mott@immediate.co.uk. The Promoter may nevertheless disclose information to regulatory authorities if required by law to do so.
- 22. In the event the winner requests for their personal data, including phone number and address details to be deleted, the Promoter cannot be held responsible if such request means that it is unable to complete delivery of the winner's prize or assist them following deletion of their phone number. The name and contact details of the winner will be retained for 30 days after the prize has been fulfilled to allow the Promoter to deal with any queries from the winner. Surname and/or county details may be retained and made available to members of the public in accordance with condition 21.
- 23. The winner may be required, if they consent, to take part in reasonable publicity relating to the promotion without further remuneration.
- 24. The Promoter is not responsible for any entries which fail to be registered or are delayed for any technical or other reason whatsoever.
- 25. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the winning entry including by asking for the winner’s identity, including proof of age (which they must provide within 14 days but which will not be retained following verification by the Promoter and redemption of the prize) and may refuse to award the prize or withdraw the prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify a participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions (including entry requirements) or otherwise where a participant has gained an unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.
- 26. The Promoter may in its absolute discretion disqualify any participant found to be tampering with the application process or operation of the website or to be acting in any manner disruptive to the promotion.
- 27. Sometimes, through reasons outside of the Promoters control, the website (as with any website) may not be accessible. The Promoter cannot guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the website. No responsibility will be accepted for any difficulties in entering, claiming or any entries/claims being delayed or corrupted. The Promoter will have no liability for any loss arising out of such an event.
- 28. Limitations of liability: insofar as permitted by law, neither the Promoter nor its agents or associated companies assume any responsibility or liability for:

- 2. Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this promotion;
- 3. Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof; and
- 4. Insofar as permitted by law, any injury or damage to participants or to any other person (or their property) which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the promotion.
- 29. If any clause of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then it shall be deemed deleted from these Terms and Conditions. The remaining clauses shall be unaffected and remain in full force and effect.
- 30. This promotion and these Terms and Conditions (and any disputes/claims arising out of or in connection with them) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the parties to any dispute or action shall submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts. However, if you are resident in Scotland, you may bring your claim before the Scottish or English courts. If you are a resident in Northern Ireland, you may bring your claim before the Northern Irish or English courts.
